Entry fees must accompany registration or names will not be placed in the draw.

Tournament Format

Format to be announced (2 matches guaranteed). A “bye”, if necessary, is considered a match.
This is a competitive tournament but with a strong emphasis on fun, sociability and sportsmanship.
The Comox Valley Tennis Club may cancel the event if there are insufficient entries, may limit the draw depending upon court availability and reserves the right to place players in their proper categories and to accpet or reject entries.

Tournament Regulations

NO REFUNDS ONCE NAME IS PLACED IN DRAW

Matches will be the best of three sets. “No-ad” scoring may be used at the discretion of the tournament director if time runs short. A 12-point tiebreaker will be used at 6-6 in every set.
Out of courtesy to your opponents and to the tournament organizers, players will be expected to play when scheduled. A 15-minute default limit on all matches will be enforced. Warm-up is limited to seven minutes maximum.
Tennis balls provided for all matches.
Players should not enter tournament if they are incapable of completing it due to employment or other commitments. Everyone must be available for play commencing Friday evening by 5:00 PM. Please state on the entry form at what time you can begin play on Friday. Be prepared to play quite a bit of tennis!
In all disputes during play, the tournament referee’s decision will be final. The “2007 Rules of the Court” will be used as the authority for all rules and regulations.
Matches delayed due to inclement weather will be re-scheduled during the weekend only. No refunds for rain cancelled games
Draws will be posted courtside, Anderton Park, Thursday after 6pm.
It is each players responsibility to know his/her playing times.

Entrants will be emailed with their 1st game times by noon on Thursday, August 21st. It is each player’s responsibility to know his/her playing time.



Waiver: I agree, as a condition of my entry in this event that for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs and personal representatives, all claims of any kind, nature and description are waived, including past, present and future claims for injuries, if any, sustained in travelling to and from, or participation in this event, again the Comox Valley Tennis Club, Comox Recreation Commission and tournament sponsors.
